• Allow students to make their first steps into the world of programming in a fun, creative and engaging way

• Introduce young students to the world of computer game coding, providing them with practical experience and helping them to develop transferable skills for future educational endeavours

• Students will use the Construct 2 or Construct 3 engines to create cross-platform, 2-dimensional games. They will start from design, set up the layout and add logic, movements and winning conditions

• Students will gain an appreciation of how to plan and manage a small game coding project. This will be a useful transferable skill for school projects and future careers

• Suitable for students between 8-12 years old

• Time:  1 week with following dates:
  14th July  - 20th July 2019,
  21st July - 27th July 2019,
  28th July  - 3rd August 2019,
  4th August - 10th August 2019, 11th August  - 17th August 2019

Fee: $15580HKD/week, including:

• 20+ hours minimum tuition / week

• afternoon extracurricular activities and cultural workshops

• night time team games

• 1 day of excursions

• school boarding and 3 meals

• transportation and pick up to and from Heathrow, Gatwick or Stansted airport on Sundays

​$500 HKD application fee for:

• Completion of all registration forms ​required by the University of Oxford

• Completion of all forms required by the government of home and host country (additional fees as per home country for issuance of UK visa if your passport carrying country is not visa fee)

• Issuance of school letter, enrollment letter, place of accommodation letter, and confirmation of care of minor letter in the United Kingdom as required by the Immigration of the United Kingdom

• Boarding school with 24 hours live-in staff supervision

• Separate girls and boys dormitories

• Students may not go off campus at any time without staff and must be in their residence by 20:30 at the latest

• Weekly bed sheet change and laundry facilities

• All meals are enjoyed at the dining hall

• A full English cooked breakfast is available every day and a selection of hot dishes, in addition to the salad bar, is offered at lunch and supper time every day

• Mid-Day refreshments and nighttime drink and snack before bed

• Build games using the Construct 2 or Construct 3 engine and learn the fundamentals of graphics and gameplay

• An introduction to Construct 2 or Construct 3, sprites, graphics and gameplay

• An understanding of game planning and design, including movement, animation, sound effects and scoring

• Knowledge about game debugging and problem solving

• Produce a playable game
