Introduction & Fees

This course aims to provide students with an initial grounding in fundamental performance techniques, as well as increased on-stage confidence and the ability to work creatively in a group
It helps students build effective group working skills and help students practice self-control, attentiveness and focus
We hope that every student leaves us with renewed curiosity about theatre and language
Located at University of Cambridge
Suitable for students between 13-15 years old
Time: 2 weeks, 2019 dates:

Fee: $26500HKD/week, including:

20+ hours minimum tuition / week
Afternoon extracurricular activities and workshops
night time team games
1 day of excursions
School boarding and 3 meals
Transportation and pick up to and from Heathrow airport on Sundays
School books and study materials

$500 HKD application fee for:

Completion of all registration forms required by the University of Cambridge
Completion of all forms required by the government of home and host country (additional fees as per home country for issuance of UK visa if your passport carrying country is not visa fee)
Issuance of school letter, enrollment letter, place of accommodation letter, and confirmation of care of minor letter in the United Kingdom as required by the Immigration of the United Kingdom

Forge friendships with like-minded and academically motivated young people interested in the same field
Formal end of summer graduation party
Boarding school with 24 hours live-in staff supervision
Accommodated in comfortable single or twin rooms of same gender
Dedicated team of program directors and counsellors to ensure that students are looked after pastorally, culturally and socially during their programme 24 hours a day

Tuition & Activities

20+ hours tuition per week
Maximum 15 students per class
Combination of drama theory and practical activities
Students will get a chance to experiment with skill-based improvisation, focusing not only on ‘performance’ but also on voice, body, characterisation, and the use of stage crafts
Working towards this personalised scene at the end of each week provides students with a goal-orientated framework around with to develop their performance creativity
Report card, Certificate of studies, and graduation ceremony at the end of your stay

Acting & Performance :
13-15 years old

At the end of the course, students :

know how to edit a scene ready for rehearsal
are familiar with rehearsal and performance techniques
have the know-how to work with others to produce a play
are more aware of their body language, breathing and stage presence

AND !! On their final day students will prepare a play to showcase to their class.
